On the things we can control

I had lunch with a friend last week, and he was suffering from severe anxiety and frustration. His job wasn’t going well, his roommate moved out without warning, he was broke and stressed.
But he didn’t have a listing on easyroomate to find a replacement. He hadn’t applied for a single job on Angellist or anywhere else in weeks. He was stressed about everything out of his control, but doing nothing about the things in his control.
