Since setting a challenge to write daily, I quickly exhausted my ‘good’ material. What’s left is the real, raw and not-that-creative Vlad.
For all the advice that people say to “be yourself,” they don’t give much guidance on how to get there. For my writing, I had to drain the pretentious crap that I’ve been hiding behind, and see the sediment left behind. I am the sediment of my bullshit.
This is also the only place where I have a chance at becoming a good writer. Waiting months between inspired blog posts isn’t writing, it’s paying the lotto. Torturing yourself daily to get words on paper is the fodder for growth. Like muscles, pushing beyond comfort is the only way to make them grow.
