Day 3. This morning I’m grateful for my delicious post-workout cookie and black iced coffee. I’m grateful that my girlfriend made the bed before I got back from the gym. I’m grateful that the 6 train pulled up as soon as I got to the station.
They’re all little things, but they create a positive outlook. The world seems a little brighter, and suddenly the interactions I’m having with people are more pleasant. Even deeper.
I’ve had three separate sources recommend gratitude as a daily practice recently. Might as well try it. It’s certainly better than feeling like the victim of a cruel world. Been there too, and it didn’t lead to much good.
For 30 Days I’ll be practicing gratitude, and will report back and tell you if it leads to any qualitative life improvements.
