Technominimalism – the use of technology to live a more minimalist lifestyle.
“Technology is miraculous because it allows us to do more with less.” – Peter Thiel
A supercomputer in your pocket let’s you navigate, read, write, watch, play, listen, connect, etc, etc. It’s also the thing that is unobtrusively making us all more minimalist in nature. It’s helping us reduce the burden on the environment by allowing us to make less things, and grow the value of the imaginary idea economy.
As someone who has lived a mostly nomadic life for the last year or so, I’ve been particularly sensitive to this transition, valuing the tech that gives me fluid connectivity anywhere I go. My library, my journals, my entertainment, my favorite memories, packed in my pocket, with a portable battery in my bag to charge them.
